Art Renewal Center
The ARC is the foremost and only vetting service for representational art schools ensuring that the teaching curricula and quality of teacher and student work meet our strict standards to become ARC Approved™. Leading the revival of realism in the visual arts, the Art Renewal Center (ARC), a 501(c)(3), non-profit, educational foundation, hosts the largest online museum dedicated to representational art and includes works by the old masters, 19th century, and 21st Century Artists as well as articles, letters, and other online resources.
The foundation organizes two competitions for living artists whose work fits into the tradition of realism:
The International ARC Salon is open to all artists who work figuration and realism into their work.
The ARC Scholarship Competition, is a scholarship competition to help aspiring artists who study at ARC-recognised classical academies or ateliers.
Barcelona Academy of Art
The Barcelona Academy of Art is a specialized center dedicated to the professional instruction of sculpture, painting, and drawing. Throughout the year, the full-time and part-time programs are complemented by seminars, weekend classes, and special Easter Break and Summer courses.
Founded by painter Jordi Diaz Alamà in 2013, the BAA provides a solid foundation for all types of artists emphasizing the importance of drawing, the direct study of nature, and the analysis of historical masters. The school also trains students who want to become professionals in different creative areas such as design, digital illustration, the film industry, or video game development. The community of SAA and BAA will be able to transfer between the two academies with ease as a result of this affiliation, enabling students to have an immersive and varied learning experience.
